STUDY IN VENICE, FLORENCE, MEDIEVAL VILLAGES AND THE TUSCAN COUNTRYSIDE
This 4 credit course encourages personal exploration of Italian art, history, culture, and people.
IMMERSIVE LEARNING WITH ARTISTS & TEACHERS
Take in the art and architecture of Venice and Florence. Italian artists will share their work with the class and give workshops. Also included is a cooking class, a night walk in a Medieval village, and a dinner in an organic vineyard.
CREATE DIGITALÂ AND WRITTENÂ STORYTELLING
You will develop innovative travel writing and digital presentations to share your own discoveries about art, the landscape, and the people you meet.
PROFESSOR POSTMA WILL BE YOUR GUIDE
Kathlene is a writer, avid Italy traveler, and literary scholar. She is in particular interested in how Italy's history of art-making and its respect for the creative process opens up new ways of thinking while providing beauty and joy. Soak up Italy with Kathlene!
TO ENROLL IN THE COURSE
In order to take part, enroll in 4 four credits at the 200 or 300 level.
Engw 222 Spring semester (2 credits) preparation.
Engw 226 Travel to Italy in June (12 days, 2 credits).
OR
Engw 322 Spring semester (2 credits) preparation.
Engw 326 Travel to Italy in June (12 days, 2 credits).
